Cricket Arena & Freelancers Football Academy Under Penta Sports Management
At Penta Sports Management (PSM), sport is not just a profession — it’s a purpose. With a legacy built on nurturing grassroots talent and preparing athletes for elite-level competition, PSM proudly oversees two of the most dynamic sports academies in India — Cricket Arena and Freelancers Football Academy (FFA). Each academy stands as a testament to our long-term commitment to youth development, technical excellence, and structured sporting progression.
🏏 Cricket Arena – Forging a Cricketing Legacy Since 2005
Founded in 2005 by Mr. P. Satya Kumar and Dr. Praveen, Cricket Arena has grown into a well-respected cricketing institution recognized for its commitment to player development, coaching innovation, and competitive exposure.
With nearly two decades of experience, the academy has become a hub for aspiring cricketers aiming to make a mark in professional and league-level cricket. Cricket Arena is equipped with qualified coaches, specialized trainers, and a proven training framework that balances skill-building with physical and mental conditioning.
What Makes Cricket Arena Stand Out
Certified coaches with experience in competitive cricket at state and national levels.
A year-round training model tailored for various age groups and player roles.
Regular intra-academy fixtures and league participation to sharpen match temperament.
Performance tracking, fitness assessments, and one-on-one mentoring for continuous growth.
Net facilities, turf wickets, fitness zones, and specialized spin/pace training areas.
As part of its ecosystem, the academy has supported and shaped talent through two affiliated cricket clubs:
- Freelancers Cricket Club (est. 1979) – An iconic name in Karnataka cricket, with an impressive 7 KSCA League championship titles to its name.
- Vikram Cricket Club (est. 1981, founded by Mr. Satya Kumar) – A competitive unit and 3-time KSCA League champions.
While these clubs operate as independent sports societies and are not promoted for commercial purposes, their success reflects the strength of Cricket Arena’s development model.
Cricket Arena continues to serve as a breeding ground for technically strong, mentally focused cricketers, many of whom go on to represent their states, universities, and corporate teams with distinction.
⚽ Freelancers Football Academy – Developing the Next Generation Since 2020
Freelancers Football Academy (FFA) was established in 2020 under the vision of Penta Sports Management to bring structure, professionalism, and opportunity to football training in India. Since its inception, FFA has set benchmarks in youth football development by introducing age-specific programs, advanced coaching methods, and holistic player management.
The academy caters to budding footballers from the grassroots to competitive levels, helping them build strong technical foundations and an intelligent understanding of the game.
FFA’s Development Model Includes
Ball control, passing, shooting, positioning, and tactical drills across all age groups.
Goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers receive personalized instruction.
Injury prevention, endurance building, strength training, and agility-focused programs.
Inter-academy fixtures, tournaments, and opportunities to play in regional/state-level events.
Talent identification and promotion through club structures, scouts, and trial platforms.
In 2021, FFA launched its affiliated football club, Freelancers Football Club (FFC), to give academy players a stepping stone into competitive league structures. The club was formed with the aim of transitioning players from training grounds to real matches while still upholding the development-first philosophy.
One of the most significant highlights for FFA came during the official jersey launch of FFC, which was graced by cricket legend Mr. Rahul Dravid. His presence lent credibility, inspiration, and stature to the academy’s long-term vision.
FFA stands for more than just training — it’s a movement to raise the standard of football education in India. The focus remains on discipline, tactical acumen, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
